Information about Holy Cross Choir

Crediton is proud of its long musical tradition which can be traced back over hundreds of years. The Choir has always been at the centre of Church life. Today the Choir still maintains extremely high standards and is much respected in the West of England. The Choir currently comprises some 25 adults and 25 juniors, as well as the Director of Music,  Organist, Assistant Organist and an Organ Scholar (usually in conjunction with Exeter University).  To listen to some organ music click here.

The Choir is proud of its musical tradition and takes it commitments to church music very seriously.  The music list details the service schedule of the choral music and organ voluntaries that will be sung and played in the coming months.  Also, the choir records its music and are available on CD.  Finally, if you want to join the choir, contact the Director of Music.

The Choir sings a weekly service at Crediton and regularly visits Cathedrals and Abbeys. Visits have included Wells, Chichester, Hereford, Llanduff & Truro Cathedrals as well as Buckfast & Bath Abbeys. The Choir is also a regular visitor to Exeter Cathedral, where in addition to singing Evensongs it often joins with the Cathedral Choirs for the Advent Carol Service each year.
